Catherine Frederico, MS RD LDN is a registered dietitian and adjunct professor at both Regis College and Newbury College in Massachusetts, as well as President of Frederico Arts LLC. She holds a BS degree in Biological Health/Nutrition Science from The Pennsylvania State University, and an MS in Foods & Nutrition from Arizona State University. For 13 years Catherine was a renal dietitian, and then specialized in pediatric and fitness nutrition. Since 2010, she has been an innovator on over a dozen mobile health projects, including her award-winning game app, Food Focus: Fruits, followed by Veggie Garden Palooza. She also contributed to Breast Cancer Care, App reSolutions, Go Social, Nutrition Support Matrix, and Max’s Plate, which won honorable mention in the US Surgeon General’s Healthy App Contest in 2012. Catherine is a nationally recognized author, speaker and leader in mobile health, consumer informatics, and educational technology. Catherine presently serves on the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Consumer Informatics Work Group. She is the 2013 recipient of the Academy's Foundation's Mary Abbott Hess Award for innovation in food and culinary education.

She manages the multimedia websites, NutritionVision.info, FoodFocusArcade.com, TheBigBlueberry.com, and AppyLiving.com, which aims to help familiarize consumers with digital health technology. In 2012 Catherine published An App A Day, and An App A Day for Health Professionals which highlight over 400 health apps. This past year Catherine completed textbook chapters in Serious Games for Healthcare, and Food Science: An Ecological Approach. Health professionals also find her ebook, HIA: Health Informatics Acronyms to be useful in deciphering the complex health tech field. Catherine also contributed app suggestions for The Complete Diabetes Organizer, which will soon be published. Her newest ventures are My PHR and StellarHealthGame.com - a web and mobile format to engage players in personal and community health.
